Our policies, in plain language.
Clear terms keep training fair for every team. Pick a topic below — deposits, payment plans, refunds, and cancellations are each spelled out in full.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
Life happens — here's how we handle changes so it's fair to everyone.
Private pet-training sessions. Please give at least 2 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Your first short-notice cancellation is a free pass, no questions asked. After that, a late cancellation or no-show may be charged the full session fee.
Service dog coaching & training sessions. Please give at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule. Your first short-notice cancellation is a free pass; after that, late cancellations or no-shows may forfeit that session from your plan.
Board & Train. A deposit reserves your dog's spot and is non-refundable (see the Deposit Policy tab). Cancellations within 7 days of the start date forfeit the deposit. Vaccination records are required before drop-off.
No-shows. If we can't reach you and you don't arrive within 15 minutes of the start time, the session is treated as a late cancellation.
Late arrivals. We'll make the most of the time remaining, but sessions end at their scheduled time so the next family isn't pushed back.
Sick dogs & weather. If your dog is unwell or contagious, or there's genuinely unsafe weather, tell us and we'll reschedule with no penalty — we'd always rather move the session than risk a dog or a handler.
Deposit Policy
A deposit reserves your spot, your dog's training dates, or your program slot. Because we hold limited capacity and turn away other clients to do so, the terms below apply to every deposit paid to Daily K9 Academy, LLC.
1. Deposits are non-refundable
All deposits are non-refundable once paid. The deposit compensates us for reserving capacity, declining other clients, and beginning intake and scheduling work on your behalf. By paying a deposit, you confirm you understand and accept this.
2. Deposits apply to your balance
Your deposit is credited in full toward the total cost of your booked service. It is not an added fee — it is the first payment. The remaining balance is due per the schedule on your invoice or payment plan (see the Payment Plan tab).
3. Rescheduling
You may move a deposited booking once at no charge with at least 48 hours' notice, subject to availability. The deposit transfers to the new date. A second reschedule, or a reschedule with less than 48 hours' notice, may require a new deposit.
4. Expiration of unbooked deposits
If you pay a deposit but do not schedule and complete the service within 90 days, the deposit expires and is forfeited. We will send a reminder before expiration. Expired deposits are not refundable or transferable.
5. If we cancel
In the rare event that Daily K9 Academy, LLC cancels a reserved service and cannot offer a reasonable alternative date, your deposit is fully refunded to the original payment method. This is the only circumstance under which a deposit is returned.
6. Chargebacks
Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute on a non-refundable deposit is a breach of these terms. We document all bookings, communications, and this policy, and will contest such disputes with our payment processor.
Payment Plan Policy
Many of our programs can be paid over time so cost is never the reason a team goes untrained. Payment plans are a convenience built on trust — these terms keep them fair and sustainable for everyone.
1. Authorization & automated billing
When you enroll in a payment plan, you authorize Daily K9 Academy, LLC to automatically charge your payment method on file for each scheduled installment, on the same day each billing cycle, until the full program balance is paid. You agree to keep a valid payment method current for the life of the plan.
2. Your plan
- An initial deposit/first payment is due at enrollment (see the Deposit tab).
- The remaining balance is divided into equal monthly installments over the agreed term (typically 12–24 months for service-dog programs).
- Your exact amounts and dates are confirmed in writing before the first charge.
3. Failed payments & grace period
If a scheduled charge fails, we will notify you and automatically retry the payment up to 3 times over 7 days. You have a grace period of 5 business days from the original due date to update your method or settle the installment with no penalty.
4. Late fees
An installment unpaid after the grace period may incur a late fee of $25 per missed installment. We will always contact you first — there is a path for genuine hardship, but it must be arranged before the account falls into arrears.
5. Service suspension for arrears
If an installment remains unpaid 10 days past its due date, the account is considered in arrears and we may pause all services — including scheduled sessions, board & train, coaching, and evaluations — until the balance is current. Suspended time does not extend your program timeline, and missed sessions during suspension are not made up free of charge.
6. The balance is owed in full
Enrolling in a plan is a commitment to the entire program price, not a per-session subscription you may stop at will. Discontinuing payments does not cancel the underlying obligation. Outstanding balances may be sent to collections. Completed work is non-refundable (see the Refund tab).
7. Disputes & chargebacks
Disputing a properly authorized installment with your bank or our payment processor, rather than contacting us first, is a breach of these terms. We retain your signed authorization and payment records and will contest unwarranted disputes.
Refund Policy
We want you confident before you commit — ask every question, take a consult call, start with a single session. Because our product is expert time and reserved capacity that cannot be resold once given, the terms below are firm.
1. All sales are final
Payments for services rendered, sessions delivered, evaluations performed, and deposits paid are non-refundable. Booking a service reserves time we cannot recover and turn away other clients to hold.
2. Prepaid, unused sessions
For multi-session packages (e.g., a five-session Foundations program), you may request a refund of sessions not yet delivered, calculated as follows:
- Refund = amount paid − (sessions used × the single-session rate) − any non-refundable deposit.
- Pricing each used session at the higher single-session rate reflects the discount you received for committing to the full package.
- No refund is owed once the majority of a package has been delivered.
3. Board & train and immersive programs
Once a board & train or immersive program begins, fees are non-refundable — the dates were reserved and the work has started. Cancellations before the start date are governed by the Deposit and Cancellation tabs.
4. No outcome guarantee
Training results depend heavily on your follow-through between sessions. We do not guarantee specific behavioral outcomes, that any dog will qualify as a service dog, or that any team will pass a given evaluation. Dissatisfaction with results is not grounds for a refund. What we guarantee is professional, standards-based instruction.
5. How to request a refund
Email nv@dailyk9.com with your name, service, and reason. Eligible refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval.
6. Chargebacks
We consider filing a chargeback without first requesting a refund from us a breach of these terms. We maintain detailed session, communication, and authorization records and will contest disputes that bypass this policy. Initiating a chargeback may also forfeit any refund you would otherwise have been eligible for under Sections 2–3.
7. Governing terms
This policy is governed by the laws of Arizona and read together with the Deposit, Payment Plan, and Cancellation policies.
These policies are provided for informational purposes and do not constitute legal advice. We recommend an attorney review before relying on them.
