"My now husband and I wanted our girls to be a part of our wedding day. Nicole helped us develop an achievable goal given our timeline and where our dogs already were. She did an assessment to gauge where we were, kicked us off with a week-long board & train, then reinforced it with weekly sessions where we set goals each time for where we'd be by the next. We got homework :-) and it became very clear how important those sessions were. Throughout, Nicole adapted the plan and techniques to get us to our goal on our wedding day. She didn't just work with our dogs — she taught us how to teach our dogs: what motivated each of them, the importance of knowing when to end a session, and how to pivot when something isn't working. We had so much fun! We're both so proud of what this team accomplished — our girls learned to hold a bouquet in their mouth, carry it to a basket and drop the flowers, then go to a specific place to sit. "Sophie came to us as an E Listed NHO pup at West Shelter. She was so scared of everything, she was in danger of not having a life. If we didn't get her help she would have been in danger of going back to the shelter and doomed back to E list status. We HAD to get her over her fear of the outside world (she was a feral stray with a litter when captured) and make friends with the leash. Was beyond my skill set of what to do next. Well Nicole did it. She turned this girl's world around by making her become friends with the leash, just in time for our road trip to the NW. What I could not do, she did overnight. Sophie was amazing on the trip and continues to this day. She begs to get on the leash and go with her people for rides, walks, hikes. Absolutely built her confidence, and frankly saved her life. She is so playful and joyful now, literally Nicole changed her life in a way that we were not able to. With her coaching help Sophie has continued to grow. A true rescue wonder dog. "Malcolm made such a big leap after working with Nicole! She taught Malcolm how to walk on the leash without pulling, and he is so much more enjoyable to walk now.
